Daniel Canter • Principal

Daniel’s career spans 20 years and the Greater Boston area, Dallas and Syracuse. Daniel has worn many hats and gained valuable experience as an art director, strategic marketing director and creative director for accounts large and small. His account experience includes; Frito Lay, Alliance Data Systems, Verizon and Brinker. Over the years, his responsibilities have included creative direction, strategic thinking, new business development and consulting and training. Daniel brings an entrepreneurial spirit, passion, odd sense of humor, and great sensibility to retzcanter. Daniel and his wife moved back to Syracuse in 2004 to raise their family.

Donald Retz • Principal

During his 21 year career in New York City and Syracuse, Donald has held many positions in advertising and design including roles as; art director, strategic marketing director and creative director. Don’s work has been featured on accounts that include; Pfizer, NASDAQ, J&J and MONY Group Inc. In addition to his creative direction responsibilities, Don also has experience with new business development and consulting. Donald brings creative integrity, off-beat humor, enthusiastic passion and energy to retzcanter. In 2005, Donald and his family moved back to Syracuse.

Tom Frost • Designer

Tom is a talented and versatile designer and our all around go-to-guy. While attending the Design Program at Cazenovia College, Tom interned for retzcanter. In 2010, Tom received a BFA in Visual Communications, shortly afterward he joined our team as a permanent addition. His talent and vast creative skills are an asset to our team. One day he will give us a real bio and we can really see what makes him tick. But until then we just had to put this stuff in.

Katie Krebs • Designer

Katie grew up in a small town (that doesn’t even have a stop light) outside of Albany, New York and has lived there her whole life. She is fun, creative, colorful and versatile. Katie joined retzcanter in May after graduating in 2010 with a BFA from Cazenovia College. Katie has fresh new ideas and an immense imagination. Design to Katie is a way for a person to solve a problem in a way that is beneficial to everyone. And not that this has anything to do with design but we thought you’d like to know that she has been a volunteer firefighter for the past 5 years.
